Pro Cables - Connectors, Function & Termination Options

 

 

Instrument Cables
 
Primary use - connect electric instruements (Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, etc.) to an amplifier or effects pedal or rack. 1/4 Inch mono termination is standard but Anaysis Plus offers many custom options including a 90 degree plug & Silent plug.

* The upper one is a Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS or stereo plug) and the lower one is a Tip Sleeve (mono plug) 1. Sleeve (Usually ground) 2. Ring (Right-hand channel for stereo signals, negative phase for balance mono signals, power supply for power-requiring mono signals). 3. Tip (Left-hand channel for stereo signals, positive phase for balanced mono signals, signal line for unbalanced mono signals. 4. Insulating rings
     
Microphone Cables:
 
Primary use - connect a microphone to to effects unit or mixing desk. Also often used to connect mixing desks to speakers or PA. Male XLR & Female XLR termination is standard but Analysis Plus offers many custom options.

Speaker Cables:
 
Primary use - carry aplified signal to speakers for Monitors or Front Of House. Spades, Bananas, 1/4 inch, Speakons, & Pins are just a few of the many termination options for these cables.

* Speakon - The industry-standard for loudspeaker connections offer extremely reliable and robust cable connections with a solid locking system.
     
Patch Cables:
Primary use - short connections from one effect pedal borad or rack, etc to another. 1/4 Inch mono termination is standard. Analysis Plus will custom build almost any patch cable you are looking for. Here are just a few examples to consider.
