Johnny Hiland Band
"I think Johnny Hiland is the most versatile guitar player I've ever heard. From Bill Monroe to Eddie Van Halen, he can play it all." - RICKY SKAGGS If you tried, you couldn't make up a story this good: legally blind kid grows up in a trailer home in rural Maine. A guitar prodigy, he tours with the family band starting at age 8, wins local and regional competitions, moves to Nashville, ends up dropping jaws all over town, doing sessions with Ricky Skaggs, Toby Keith, Randy Travis, Janie Fricke and many more, and gets signed by Steve Vai when his manager leaves a demo snippet on Steve's voicemail box.  To find out more go to www.johnnyhilandband.com.  Analysis Plus instrument cables are featured in his new DVD.
"Love these cables - BEST I have every used" - Johnny Hiland

John Denner

If you've heard anything about John Denner, you probably know he was born without a right hand.
And if you've had the privilege of hearing him play, you also know he's one of the most phenomenal guitar players in rock today.
These two facts alone are enough to amp up the guilt in your "I can't because . . ."  file.
But you can't feel bad around him.  There's something about John that makes you want to celebrate ... to marvel ... to wonder what it is about his playing that moves you so deeply.
What you can know is that 1) John doesn't read music.  2) He had to invent a makeshift picking device before he could even attempt the guitar.  And  3) He honed his skills by learning to play Eddie Van Halen's "Eruption" by ear.
What you can hear is the result of endless hours, days, and weeks of going deeper and deeper. and deeper still.  Searching for ways to coax and stretch and pick and purge every exquisite sound from those strings.
And what you can feel is the existence of a creative force transcending the conscious mind.
This goes far beyond ability.
Technical proficiency, even as stunning as John's, is still only the key that opens the door.  Stepping through, surrendering that hard-won proficiency, surrendering control, to a force far greater than individual perspective...that takes real courage.
This courageous "letting go" seems to be where John's musical magnificence is fully realized.
When you experience John playing from this dynamic, monstrous place--- feeling the rapid fire riffs shooting through his veins, muscle and tendon tensing with every surge and crash of soul jarring sound--there are no words to adequately express your amazement.
You just want to laugh with the joy of it.
It is the place you've hungered for.  The elusive "home" you want to return to...but can't seem to find.
And you can't help but gravitate to people like John who have found it. You want to bask in the warmth of their atmosphere. Especially when you believe your own passionate dreams can't be shaped and offered up for entrance.
So maybe what moves us so deeply when John plays involves our own primal longing . . .
Maybe it's the sound from the other side of the door.
Maybe it's a renewed sense of our own possibility.
Maybe it's John demonstrating so clearly that the only real disabilities are fear and doubt.
Maybe it's all of that ... and some really cool music.

Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse

Issaquah, WA, indie rock trio Modest Mouse was formed in 1993 by vocalist/guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy, and drummer Jeremiah Green. The Lonesome Crowded West, was the band's breakthrough, and in the wake of a major-label bidding war, they signed to Sony. The rarities collection Building Nothing out of Something appeared on Up in early 2000, followed later that year by their long-awaited Epic debut, The Moon & Antarctica. In 2001, the band issued the Everywhere and His Nasty Parlor Tricks EP and K released Sad Sappy Sucker, a "lost album" that was intended to be the group's full-length debut back in 1994. Brock kept busy with his Ugly Casanova side project, which delivered Sharpen Your Teeth in 2002. Modest Mouse finally returned in 2004 with Good News for People Who Love Bad News, their best-received record and a Top 40 hit as well. For their next record, Brock enlisted the help of former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who not only added his songwriting and playing skills to We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank -- which was released in early 2007.

"Analysis plus is a huge improvement for pure, strong signal, especially recording" - Isaac Brock

Rick Rosas (Neil Young's band)
"I found true, clear and warm sound.  Something that I've never found before.
On stage and in the studio a noticeable difference. Thanks for developing the Yellow Oval cable, it delivers a true bass sound."

Kip Reed

Grammy Winner

"As an audiophile and professional bassist for nearly 30 years, I must admit I have never used an audiophile cable on my bass's output. The increase in lows and overall slam are noticeable. I won't do a studio date without my Analysis Plus Bass Oval! Think cables don't matter? Think again."

An east coast native currently splitting his time between New York and Cleveland, electric bassist Kip Reed has performed and recorded with many major artists spanning several genres. His love of Brazilian, African and other world-beat music combined with his background in rock, funk, and jazz make him one of the most in-demand bass players on the east and north coasts. In his nearly 30-year career, he has recorded or performed with Brazilian superstars Bebel Gilberto, Ivan Lins and Tania Maria, disco divas Donna Summer and Gloria Gaynor, jazz legends Brother Jack Mcduff, Larry Coryell and Joe Lovano. He has been featured on recordings alongside bass greats Anthony Jackson and Freddie Washington. Hear him on Chuck Mangione's Chesky release "The Feeling's Back" and most recently, Nancy Wilson's Grammy-winning CD "Turned to Blue".

Jon Coleman
Jon Coleman is touring in support of Brad Paisley.
Don, from Category 5, turned me on to Analysis Plus. The day a set of cables arrived at the house I was headed to the studio to record some overdubs. I decided to take the cables along and during a break we plugged one of the studio keyboards through an API direct to ProTools and did a little A-B experiment as such; I played one thing using the AP cables, and repeated it using the studio's cables. We repeated this process several times with different styles of playing and listened back. In every instance, the there is a difference that even the average ear can hear. At first listen you discern better high end, but when you listen more closely, they really deliver a much fuller spectrum across the board...more of what you and the instrument really sound like. Beginning and end: I am a skeptic, and really just a piano player, which means my tech knowledge is much to be desired. These guys have made something that lets me hear more of what I am truly playing, and that is all that really matters."

Chris Plante - The Brew

"I can’t get over these cables! I invested a lot of time and money into my keyboard rig, and it was a shame to be running sub-par cables from my super quality outputs! Listening to my gear through analysis plus cables was a whole new experience. All the low and mid-range sections of my sounds were brightened up and I could finally hear those beautiful upper harmonics that makes a piano sound like a piano. These cables are diesel, and absolutely beautifully made. There are cable skeptics out there and until I got these cables I didn’t know what to think. But the fact is, Analysis Plus cables just plain sound better, and like they say, “If you can’t hear the difference, you don’t need one!”
I will never use another cable. Thank you Analysis Plus!

Don Better - Professor of Guitar, Cleveland Institute of Music

Jake Shimabukuro
"The Pro Oval Studio series has totally transformed me as an artist. Prior to discovering Analysis-Plus, my set-up included a spread of effects across the floor in front of me. Now, I don't have the heart to even stick a high-end true bypass pedal between my instrument and the direct injection box. Thanks Mark Markel and the A.P. gang! You guys rock!!" "I didn't know what 'tone' was until I discovered Analysis Plus"

Though many still have trouble pronouncing his last name and the instrument he plays, Jake Shimabukuro (she-ma-BOO- koo-row) is becoming recognized as one of the world’s top ukulele (oo-koo-LAY-lay) musicians.Renowned for lightning-fast fingers and revolutionary playing techniques, Jake views the ukulele as an “untapped source of music with unlimited potential.”His virtuosity defies label or category. Playing jazz, blues, funk, classical, bluegrass, folk, flamenco, and rock, Jake’s mission is to show everyone that the ukulele is capable of so much more than only the traditional Hawaiian music many associate it.

Dave Malone - The Radiators
" My association with the ToneQuest Report has afforded me vast amounts of info on gear. I've upgraded my cables several times in the past few years and...now...finally, I can stop searching. Analysis Plus cables sound fantastic and are the ones I intend to use from here on out!"

Dave Malone - born August 29, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana is best known as the guitarist/vocalist, and sometimes songwriter, of The Radiators. He has also worked with a wide variety of other musicians, in and out of New Orleans. Jimmy Thackery

It was Thackerys time on stage with Muddy Waters that branded deep within his musical soul.  He's one of the few blues guitarists who learned first hand from the masters of the blues.  Jimmy was cofounder of the Nighthawks and then went on to the Assassins and Drivers before going on the road as a solo musician doing nearly 300 shows a year proving each night that he is still the guitar powerhouse in the blues.
"well I never believed any of that mumbo jumbo about cables making that big of a difference, expecially short ones in the pedal board - boy was I wrong, these analysis plus cables have removed all the noise from my rig, and I now can adjust the pedals for maximum tone-not minimum noise.  These cables in conjunction with my Category 5 amps are dramatically changing the way I play and what I can do with the guitar-watch out!" Jimmy Thackery

King’s Entertainer of the Year” and “Best Male Contemporary Blues” awards. Rez Abbasi Trio

“ When performing, It’s important for me to have the best response from any piece of gear. In the past,
I used to think gear meant amplifiers, guitars, strings and effects only. I know now that the connection between all the parts can also really make a difference. Analysis cables are that difference.  As soon as I plugged one in, I heard a brilliance and clarity from the amp, as if I just changed my strings. The best
way to produce a clear musical statement is to have a clear musical sound!
"

The Sean Carney Band
"On stage and in the studio, I rely on Analysis-Plus cables for zero signal loss and absolute high performance. Only the very best comes between my guitar and amplifier - Analysis-Plus."
The Sean Carney Band's impressive showing and subsequent victory at The 2007 International Blues Challenge, held in February in Memphis, Tennessee explaining that Carney and his crew are no newcomers to Blues. The IBC is presented by The Blues Foundation, who awarded 34 year-old Carney the Albert King Best Guitarist Award in their 23rd annual competition.

Fiona Boyes

"A real revelation!  Musicians I respect had told me a great cable makes all the difference - and now I know it's true.
I don't use any effects or pedals, relying solely on my guitars and amplifier, so I'm in the perfect position to benefit from better tone and attack response.  Thank you!"
With the release of her debut US album, 'Lucky 13' Aussie blueswoman Fiona Boyes has come full circle. Nominated for 'Contemporary Blues Album of the Year' in the 2007 Blues Music Awards, the world's premier blues awards, Fiona is the first Australian blues artist to be so honored. Described by noted critic, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Grammy Awards adviser Jeff Tamarkin as, 'one of the most sizzling blues albums - by anyone - in years' 'Lucky 13' has propelled Fiona Boyes into the international spotlight.

Yumiko Taguchi - Yucco - Nakanomori Band

"I am so moved with natural and straightforward sound that I can get out of my bass with Analysis Plus cables!!!!!

I am using:
Pro Yellow Oval Guitar cables (3m and 6m) and
Pro Oval Studio Guitar cables (3m and 6m).

I found unique characteristics with each kinds of the cables.
I tried them at the studio when I did a recording at the end of last year 2006.

For the live performance, I would like to use Pro Yellow Ovals.
Currently these are my favorites.

My bass instrument has its own natural sound.
I feel that my Analysis Plus cables allow this natural sound to be delivered without any coloration.

I am so grateful to be able to use these splendid cables.
Thank you Analysis Plus!!

Please come to our fun lives when you are available."

Simon Ratcliffe - Basement Jaxx

Munich Olympic Stadium Germany

"This cable is the best when playing acoustic in the studio or in front of 80,000 people in a stadium - cheers Analysis Plus"

Simon Ratcliffe

The production duo of Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton released several of Britain's most respected and enjoyable progressive house anthems of the '90s from their base in South London. Before they met (at a Thames riverboat party organized by Buxton), Ratcliffe grooved to the deep Latin funk of War and George Duke while Buxton was turned on to Chicago house. The pair formed Atlantic Jaxx Records in 1994 and was undoubtedly honored to count among fans of their first release none other than DJ legend and Basement Jaxx influence Tony Humphries, who played "Da Underground" from the EP on his New York mixshow consistently during 1994-1995.

Yogo Kohno

"When I first tried Pro Oval Studio guitar cable with my Groove Tubes Soul-o guitar amplifier with Hiwatt 12 x 4 speaker cabinet, I cranked the amp up and the sound was fabulous from the low to the hi end, coming forward really good.

I usually like to connect my guitar to the amplifier direct. But as I sometimes need to put my pedal effectors between them, it is better to have two Studio cables, and so do I now.

About the 10m Clear Oval speaker cable with AP plugs, the sound is great! It is easy to handle and move it around. I was able to shut the sound proof door of my recording studio.

About my Pro Oval Studio mic cables, when I first used them, I was able to immediately tell that the hi frequency sound was more extended and became richer. These made sound effect such as reverb even better and I like that!"

Working in the studio, it seems you are always searching for that majic bullet that will get you even a small edge over the next guy....Thats why I was so excited when I heard the first Analysis - Plus
cable!!!! The notes seemed to litterally jump thru the guitar!! It makes the guitar warmer on the bottom end, and it let the highs shimmer...I was truely shocked at the sonic improvment ...I challenge you to try just one cable, when you do.....You won't be going back to your old cables!!!!!

Begun as an acoustic spin-off of the Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna eventually became the full-time focus of founding members Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen, emerging as a popular touring act of the 1970s. The two were lifelong friends, growing up together in Washington, D.C., and playing in the group the Triumphs. After high school, guitarist Kaukonen and his government-service parents relocated to the Philippines, but he returned to the U.S. in time for the advent of psychedelia, landing in San Francisco and co-founding the Airplane in 1965. Bassist Casady joined not long after, and together they helped lead the group to massive success during the late '60s.
