Johnny Hiland on Analysis Plus Cables.

Whether I am recording, or playing live, I prefer Analysis Plus Cables. I recorded my entire album called, “All Fired Up,” using them, and I look forward to using them on my new album, coming out later this year, called, “Standing Strong.” Plus, I do use them on the road as well. To me, Analysis Plus Cables offer a tone that is cleaner and clearer than all the rest. They allow for your tone to be heard without adding any unwanted color, noise, or degradation. I can’t really say which AP cable I like the best. I love them all! If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the yellow oval with overmold ends in 20ft with a 90 and a straight end. I currently don’t have those ones, but I do love them. I’m also really excited to check out the new gray oval cables as well.

To be honest, cables were not of the highest importance to me as I started my career. However, as I started recording more, and playing bigger stages with longer length cables, I found that it was massively important! I had been in a cable search for a long time as I studied up on them as much as I could. When I discovered Analysis Plus cables, I realized that I was not the only one. I am thankful to Mark Markel for endorsing me, and believing in my talent. He understood that with my visual impairment, I experienced tone from a different perspective. My eyes may be bad, but my ears are making up for my loss of vision. Tone is important to any great musician, and with cables like Analysis Plus, you just can’t go wrong. They are a true blessing to me!! – Johnny Hiland

“I think Johnny Hiland is the most versatile guitar player I’ve ever heard. From Bill Monroe to Eddie Van Halen, he can play it all.” – RICKY SKAGGS

If you tried, you couldn’t make up a story this good: legally blind kid grows up in a trailer home in rural Maine.
